Communication for Peace

One of WACC’s earlier programmes focused on Communication for Peace. Many resources were produced which have been assembled in this section in the interest of sharing experience and knowledge.

Communicating for Peace Video Series

An educational resource for faith-based and secular peace advocates and journalists about the importance of telling stories
Being equipped to communicate for peace means knowing how to listen, see and speak in ways that contribute to conflict resolution and to creating the conditions for sustainable peace. This resource will help you take on that challenge.

Each of the four sections offers:

  • Interviews and commentary from world experts in the fields of peace journalism, communication rights, and gender justice introducing key communication concepts and analysis.
  • Case studies by rights advocates who work in conflict situations in different regions of the world offering proven practical approaches to putting those concepts into action.
  • Provocative questions encouraging engagement with the issues presented.
