Membership of WACC

The World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) is a non-governmental organisation that builds on communication rights in order to promote social justice. Today, we offer guidance and support to people of all faiths, ethnicities, and cultures worldwide.

We believe that everyone has the right to communicate and to be communicated to, in the same way that they have the right to food, shelter, and security. In strategic alliances, we aim to be a catalyst for change for the common good, sharing information, knowledge, and experience in the field of communication.

Who can apply

Any organisation or individual that subscribes to WACC's Vision of Communication for All, wishes to support its Mission, and is interested in furthering its purposes may apply for membership.

Only organisations can apply for Corporate Membership and only individuals can apply for Individual/Personal Membership.

How to apply

Please complete the application form and submit it to WACC Membership (see below). You are encouraged to submit with your application form additional information which may help in reaching a decision on your application.

IMPORTANT: When making a bank payment to apply for membership or to renew membership, please send an email to indicating your name  and the name of your institution, the amount, and the date you made the payment.

Applicants will be linked to the Region Association in which they are based. A final decision on an application for membership is taken only after the relevant Regional Association has had the opportunity to make a recommendation. Consequently, information included in and submitted with each application will be sent to the appropriate Regional Executive Committee for review. If you are not known to the Regional Executive, it will be helpful if you provide with your application the name of a current WACC Member who knows you.

Please note that an application will not be considered until the membership dues for the current year have been received by the Secretariat. Processing of applications usually takes between two and three months. Applicants are advised as soon as a decision is reached, and if an application is not approved, any subscription that has been paid is returned.
